Andover Community Coffeehouse

Our Mission

The Andover Community Coffeehouse will create and operate a periodic coffeehouse-style venue for local performers of music or spoken art that is a welcoming, nurturing and safe environment for performers, and a comfortable listening space for the audience.

Open mic time will be offered free to performers who sign up, within the limits of the time available. There will be no pre-selection or audition process for open mic performers, and no compensation to open-mic performers. Coffeehouse events may also include a featured performer. Featured performers will have greater stage time than open mic performers, and typically receive compensation.

The main idea is to create opportunities for amateur local performers to perform in a friendly, supportive environment in front of an attentive, listening audience. Coffeehouse events should be fun for performers and audience alike, should encourage aspiring artists to work on music or other performing arts to be presented at the coffeehouse, and should attract and retain an enthusiastic, attentive, and appreciative local audience.

The Andover Community Coffeehouse is located at Highland Lake Grange Hall, adjacent to the Andover Congregational Church.

Doors open at 6:00PM for for light dinner and refreshments provided by the Andover Congregational Church. Sign-ups for open mic also begin at 6:00PM and then the show starts at 7:00PM.

Join us on the 3rd Friday of every month.

The show runs from 7:00PM until 9:30PM. Open Mic musicians play 2 songs or ten minutes - whichever is shorter.

Admission is free.

Come to play or come to listen. We are a listening room environment. Most of all we are here for the community, so come and be welcome.
